Llandaff has spent most of Friday 17 December looking like it lives in a constantly shaken snow globe — and the Met Office predicts more. A few flashes of sunshine were quickly forgotten as many schools shuttered, pavements grew slick and the Twittersphere began to dub the day White Friday.

The annual Armistice Ceremony at Llandaff’s Cathedral Green will be remembered as an extremely wet and windy affair this year. Despite the awful weather, the ceremony grew with a higher turnout of people who came to hear the service, lay poppy wreaths and take part in the two minutes of silence and reflection.

Armistice Ceremony at Llandaff’s Cathedral Green

[ November 11, 2010; 10:45 am; ] Come honour those who have given their lives for Britain at the Armistice Day ceremony on Llandaff’s Cathedral Green. All are welcome to attend on Thursday 11 November.
