Meningitis Trust Christmas concert at Llandaff Cathedral

[ December 13, 2010; 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. ] The Meningitis Trust hosts a Christmas concert at Llandaff Cathedral on Monday 13 December from 7:30 to 9 pm.

Performers include: Canton Salvation Army Band, Ynysowen Male Voice Choir, Joe Keenan, Alice Russell, West Park Primary School.

Tickets cost £8 nave and £4 side aisle. Call 0845 120 4989 or email christmas@meningitis-trust.org to purchase tickets in advance.

Christmas Fayre at Llandaff’s Cathedral School

[ December 4, 2010; 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. ] Llandaff’s Cathedral School holds its Christmas Fayre on Saturday 4 December from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm at the school.

Pupils from the school will donate and sell cakes, jars of sweets and chocolates, bottles, and small gifts. Second-hand uniforms and ski wear also will be donated and sold. Profits from the sales benefit the [...]

Noel concert in Llandaff Cathedral

[ December 18, 2010; 7:00 pm; ] The Llandaff Cathedral Choir will perform with the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama’s professional brass ensemble, Symphonic Brass, on Saturday 18 December at 7 pm in Llandaff Cathedral.

Llandaff Cathedral organist Richard Moorhouse will conduct the concert, with new assistant organist, James Norrey, playing the new organ.

K2 Coffee House packed its High Street cafe for the final festive coffee morning in support of the High Street Decoration Fund. Local celebrity and BBC weatherman Derek Brockway — the man who helped light up Llandaff last Christmas — dropped in to sip a coffee and support the fundraiser.
